Papergirl Glasgow

Papergirl is a non-commercial art project founded in Berlin by Aisha Ronniger. Its aim is to take art out of galleries and into the streets, giving artists a broader and more accessible platform for sharing their work. Since its inception, the project has spread from Germany to numerous countries, attracting artists from around the world.

The project unfolds in three stages: an open call for artworks, a public exhibition, and the distribution of the exhibited works by bicycle to unsuspecting recipients throughout the city.

In 2011, I organised Papergirl Glasgow together with Tommy "Stoic" McCormick and the Pigeon Pro production team. We received more than 1,000 artworks submitted by artists from across the world.

Papergirl on berliiniläisen Aisha Ronnigerin aloittama ei-kaupallinen taideprojekti, jonka tavoitteena on viedä taide gallerioista kaduille ja samalla antaa taiteilijoille laajempi ja vapaampi paikka esitellä töitään. Projekti on sittemmin levinnyt Saksasta muihin maihin ja kiinnittänyt taiteilijoiden huomion ympäri maailmaa.

Papergirl koostuu kolmesta vaiheesta: taiteen keräämisestä, näyttelystä ja taiteen jakelusta polkupyörillä.

Järjestin Papergirlin Glasgowissa vuonna 2011 yhdessä Tommy Stoic McCormickin ja Pigeon Pro -tuotantotiimin kanssa. Saimme yli 1000 teosta eri puolilta maailmaa.
