Tim (Far away)

Tim Andrews has posed for more than four hundred photographers. I am one of them.

Tim was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2005 at the age of fifty-four. In 2007, he responded to a newspaper advertisement seeking nude models, an unexpected decision that led to the Over the Hill project and, a few years later, And Far Away. Together, these ongoing collaborative projects have documented both Tim and his experience of living with Parkinson's through the eyes of hundreds of photographers.

I spent a day photographing Tim in February 2017, shortly before leaving Brighton to return to Finland.

Tim sai Parkinson-diagnoosin vuonna 2005, vain 54-vuotiaana. Vuonna 2007 hän vastasi sanomalehti-ilmoitukseen, jossa etsittiin alastonmalleja. Näin syntyi Over the Hill ja muutama vuosi myöhemmin And Far Away -projektit, jotka ovat dokumentoineet Timiä ja hänen sairauttaan.

Vietin Timin kanssa päivän helmikuussa 2017 juuri ennen kuin muutin Brightonista takaisin Suomeen.
